EFT

Emotional Freedom Technique(EFT), sometimes referred to as “Tapping”, is a technique that uses gentle tapping with your fingertips on specific acupuncture, or meridian points while simultaneously focusing on the presenting problem to bring together the mind/body connection. The technique she uses is based on the method developed by Gary Craig, founder of the Emotional Freedom Technique.

EFT is a profound yet easy to learn, self-empowering technique that can be used by itself, or in conjunction with conventional medical modalities.  EFT is used to decrease, and often eliminate issues, such as but not limited to the following issues:

 

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Fear
  • Anger
  • Emotional wounds
  • Physical pain
  • Headaches
  • Emotional eating
  • Cravings
  • Binge eating
  • Negative self-talk
  • Self-limiting behavior

HYPNOSIS

Hypnosis is an altered state in which the client is highly suggestible. Hypnosis is used to condition the subconscious mind so that unwanted thoughts, behaviors, and brliefs can be altered to create health and well-being. It is a highly focused state of awareness.

We all experience hypnosis randomly, such as when watching a movie, reading a book or driving a car. We sometimes become so focused that we "tune out" our surroundings unless the need arises for us to refocus our attention. The same holds true for guided hypnosis. It is the same focus but for a specific purpose. The client is in control and aware of his/her surroundings, but is able to "tune them out" for the purpose of the session.

In my practice, I utilize hypnosis as a means for relaxation, pain management, to decrease stress and anxiety, to boost confidence and self-esteem, weight loss, smoking cessation and  to make behavioral changes. Hypnosis is also a wonderful technique to use along with a Reiki or EFT session.

Massage Therapy is used to help manage a health condition or enhance wellness. It involves manipulating the soft tissues of the body. Massage has been practiced in most cultures, both Eastern and Western, throughout human history, and was one of the earliest tools that people used to try to relieve pain. (nccih.gov)

Massage is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension. Massage is a drug free way to manage physical discomfort. Many people find that incorporating massage therapy into their self-care routine, helps improve their overall well being.

M Technique

'M' TECHNIQUE

The ‘M’ Technique® is quite different from massage. This comforting touch, developed by Jane Buckle, RN,. Ph.D, from England,  is a light , soothing, rhythmic form of touch. It can be used to treat medically compromised patients and their families in a hospital, nursing home, assisted living or home setting. Modifications can be made to accommodate being seated in a wheelchair, chair or in a hospital bed. This technique, which is often described as 'physical hypnotherapy',   is also offered to anyone who would like to reduce stress, anxiety, and/or discomfort and increase relaxation of the body and mind.
